Recreation
Recreational facilities located in the Village of Stockholm include a three diamond ball park, built and maintained by the local Lion’s Club, that continues to attract provincial class tournaments as well as staging the Lion’s Sports Day, usually on July 1st of each year.
The new Stockholm Communiplex contains a first class hall facility available for a wide variety of local events and celebrations, a weekly bingo, and a popular dinner theatre presentation by the local drama club, the Sow’s Belly Soup Group, usually staged the first three weekends in March.
The arena is used for hockey, figure skating, and public skating during the winter season. An annual event, the Firemen's Community Auction, is a popular attraction and fund raising event held in the arena each year in April.
Nearby, Round Lake in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley boasts all the essentials for relaxing vcation. There, the resorts of Bird’s Point and West End offer camping, swimming, water skiing, boating and fishing in the summer and snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter.
Ochapowace ski resort which has the highest vertical downhill runs in the province, and the 18 hole Last Oak golf course also offer excellent recreation in the valley.
